The Massachusetts Health Care Training Forum (MTF), formerly MassHealth Training Forum, is a program sponsored by MassHealth, in partnership with the Office of Community Programs, a part of Commonwealth Medicine, a division of UMass Medical School.

MassHealth, the second largest provider of health care coverage in Massachusetts, needs a regular forum to provide information and resources to those in the community who serve MassHealth members. MTF began in November 2003 for the purpose of communicating accurate, timely information related to MassHealth operations, programs, and services to staff of health care organizations and community based agencies.

MTF provides information through:

  • quarterly meetings across the state;
  • regular e-mail updates; and
  • information and resources on the Web site.

Anyone who works with MassHealth members, the uninsured, or underinsured can benefit from the information and resources provided through all program components.

Who participates in the Massachusetts Health Care Training Forum?

  • eligibility, enrollment, and outreach staff;
  • community-agency employees;
  • hospital and CHC billing/claim and financial-counseling personnel;
  • health care advocates; and
  • anyone wanting to learn more about MassHealth operations.
