About Us

The Massachusetts Health Care Training Forum (MTF), formerly MassHealth Training Forum, is a program sponsored by MassHealth, in partnership with the Office of Health Policy and Technology (HPT), a part of Commonwealth Medicine, a unit of UMass Medical School.

MTF began in November 2003 for the purpose of communicating accurate, timely information related to MassHealth operations, programs, and services to staff of health care organizations and community based agencies. Currently, MTF utilizes a range of communication methods to reach health and human service workers in various fields to communicate State public health insurance related program and policy information, as well as information about related State programs. Communication methods include a total of 20 regional meetings held throughout the fiscal year in 5 regions of the State, program updates/e-mail communications distributed to over 5000 list-serve participants, a regularly updated program website which features a number of resources and tools, including a growing number of State program webinar opportunities.
